Audio: The Age of Distortion w/ David Moscrop

The last episode of Modern Manhood series "Man v/s Machine"

There’s a common sentence you hear that the online world is not real. That whatever happens in social media is not real. This is factually incorrect, everything that happens online is part of the world world whether we like it or not. and if we take his statement at face value, this can be dangerous. Our social lives revolve around the technology we have, as well as our business, our careers, our families, and the shape of what we think about the world. All of it revolves around what happens online. This can lead to healthy communities or dangerous ideas.

There’s a blend here. A distortion.

On this last episode of Modern Manhood’s “Man v/s Machine” series. David Moscrop, political commentator and writer of the book "Too Dumb for Democracy" is here to help us through the muck.

We go through what it was like to feel hopeful about the internet, as well as what it’s like to see people distort how politically we see ourselves online and in person.
